Hospice Executive Director

The role of the Hospice Director is to provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of hospice operations in Newark, NJ. This includes overseeing business operations, clinical operations, business development, and achieving census growth. The Hospice Director will also be responsible for maintaining financial control, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, meeting state and federal regulatory standards, and managing general business operations.


  • Must have executive-level experience as an Executive Director, Administrator, or Director of Sales.
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in hospice operations management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Operations, Growth Strategy, and providing oversight to clinical leadership at the site level.
  • Experience with budgetary responsibilities, including budget development, monitoring, and financial Profit and Loss analysis.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations/administration.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Graduate coursework is a plus!
