Location: Perry, GA

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the human resources function at a chicken further processing facility in Perry, GA.
  • Oversee staffing, employee relations, and employment data process functions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement a recruiting plan to attract talented exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Establish and monitor employee retention processes with measurable metrics to reduce turnover.
  • Lead strategic human resources planning to support plant operations.
  • Train HR staff and implement an audit process to ensure consistency in services.
  • Drive innovation and implement new ideas to drive HR and business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in HR management. Preferred 10 or more years of experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, any product type.
  • Proven track record in leading HR teams of 4 or more.
  • Expertise in managing exempt and non-exempt staffing, including AAP, OSHA, EEOC, DHS, DOL.
  • Strong leadership skills that promote accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency within the HR department.
  • Previous experience with HRIS.
  • Proven success in developing methods to reduce turnover and implementing recognition programs.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor operations supervisors and managers.
  • Collaborate with the safety function to manage and reduce worker compensation costs, TRIR, and LTR.
  • Knowledge of and a commitment to a team management style.
