Inside Sales Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

As a member of our Internal Sales Engineering team in Pittsburgh, PA, you will contribute to driving positive sales opportunities with both new and existing accounts. Your role will involve effectively communicating with potential and established clients, maintaining and enhancing revenue growth. In a fast-paced environment, you will demonstrate attention to detail while working on diverse projects. Your commitment to fostering long-term customer relationships and ensuring their success through ongoing support will be pivotal to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively pursue new sales opportunities through various channels, including email, telephone, and virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams.
  • Analyze client needs and provide recommendations for suitable products and solutions.
  • Coordinate the processing of all sales orders by directing them to the Customer Service team.
  • Ensure timely resolution of quality issues by forwarding them to the Customer Service team, with thorough documentation of relevant information.
  • Stay updated on industry products, services, competitive activities, and trends.
  • Attend tradeshows and customer-facing events as necessary.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of customer visits.
  • Continuously enhance professional and technical knowledge through workshops, research, publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Sales experience, preferably in a specialized manufacturing environment, with a focus on customer relations.
  • Experience in prospecting and selling capital equipment for at least two (2) years is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM system, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, as occasional travel may be required.
  • Participation in safety training and certifications offered by the Company or customers may be necessary.
