Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician (Robot Pendant)
Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, supports troubleshooting, and rapidly repairs robotic, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role ensures the ongoing functionality and reliability of all equipment and systems within the facility.
Essential Responsibilities:

Install, mount, maintain, and remove electrical equipment, including 480-volt bus systems, control panels, junction boxes, wireways, conduit runs, cable and wire switches, operator stations, relays, solenoids, plugs, and receptacles.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues involving fuses, heaters, motors, and relays; wire intermediate relay logic and AC/DC motor drives using instruments like voltmeters.

Repair ABB robotic equipment by replacing circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, or servomotors.

Maintain, dismantle, and repair mechanical and hydraulic components such as bearings, seals, motors, compressors, cylinders, gears, couplings, and valves.

Interpret blueprints for the assembly and operation of conveyor systems, robotic systems, and material handling equipment.

Safely operate mobile equipment including forklifts, cranes, and vertical lifts.

Utilize a range of hand and power tools including wrenches, grinders, drills, chisels, pry-bars, and saws.

Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual conditions to supervision.

Maintain accurate service records for robotic and automated production systems.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.

Collaborate with other Maintenance Technicians and provide mentoring and on-the-job training for junior team members.

Ensure clear communication between shifts to maintain workflow and project continuity.

Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in English and math.

Strong understanding of machinery and tools.

Able to apply logic and reasoning to diagnose and solve problems.

Experience operating robot pendants.
-
Visual acuity for reading instruments, work orders, and conducting inspections.

Skilled in using calipers and other precision measuring tools.
