Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description


As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing activities of large-scale projects and programs, ensuring their successful completion and delivery.

Job Functions

  • Collaborate closely with the Design and Program Management teams to incorporate lessons learned and best practices into the manufacturing process.
  • Become an expert in the systems and equipment involved in the manufacturing process, utilizing your knowledge to guide and optimize manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor project progress against milestone dates in partnership with Program Management.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and support the build team in documenting and resolving open issues across all departments.
  • Prioritize and schedule resolution of open issues, directing activities on the build floor and coordinating efforts with the Design and Program Management teams as necessary.
  • Evaluate machine readiness by conducting trials, checking tooling fits, and ensuring mechanical soundness. Use and document machine readiness forms and checklists.
  • Program machines, ensuring proper machine cycles and builds before runoff, and confirming compliance with all required criteria.
  • Lead part builds, coordinating with customers and Program Management to determine parts inventory and overseeing the build activity.
  • Assist in customer runoff and allocate shop resources as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing custom equipment. College graduates with a degree in Manufacturing Technology are preferred.

Hours of Operation:

  • Minimum of 50 hours per week, including Saturdays, to support manufacturing hours, which may involve overtime on weekdays and weekends if required.
