What you will be doing: As a Production Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading projects focused on driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operation (approximately 65% of your time)
  • Coordinating, designing, and developing manufacturing processes using tools such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, and capability analysis
  • Working on capital projects and determining ROI
  • Providing support to production and maintenance operations
  • Driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and delivery across all departments
  • Applying ergonomics requirements to eliminate work hazards and enhance safety
  • Mentoring, training, developing, and evaluating team members as needed
  • Helping develop and drive metrics for production teams
  • Communicating project updates and progress to all levels of the company

What we are looking for: To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, with a strong focus on continuous improvement (experience with custom products or in a job shop is preferred)
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo
  • Experience utilizing analytical tools such as DOE, FMEA, and SPC
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Previous project management experience from start to finish is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and value stream mapping is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
