Under the supervision of the Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for conducting a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and various chemical compounds. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient patient throughput and performing examinations. The Radionuclide Imaging Specialist will operate and perform quality control of both stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and related tools. The position requires performing PET, Nuclear Medicine, and CT diagnostic studies on a PET/CT scanner, including administering CT Contrast Media, acquiring images, and reformatting. Additionally, the incumbent will perform necessary scans and procedures to assist in scanner qualification for research trials. The Radionuclide Imaging Specialist will also collaborate with the Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Manager and Medical Director to develop and implement study protocols, including administration, imaging, and reformatting. Work requirements include being on-call and available for call-back service.

Requirements:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the health system
  • Capability to maintain an appropriate work pace based on workload
  • Demonstration of excellent customer service skills relevant to the role
  • Knowledge of state regulatory radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
  • Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, and communication)
  • Availability for on-call and call-back service as required
  • Minimum one year of full-time experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Demonstrated essential skills, knowledge, and abilities for successful job performance
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Active California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) License
  • Active Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of full-time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and documentation

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
