Production Manager
We currently have an opening for a Manufacturing Coordinator position based in Johnson City, Tennessee.

As the Manufacturing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the productivity of our manufacturing department. In this position, you will be responsible for managing equipment, materials, and the workforce to ensure efficient plant production, development, and quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with senior leadership to coordinate workflow across all departments and ensure the production of high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner.
Manage the coordination and workflow of the manufacturing environment, including materials and equipment, to meet production, quality, and cost goals.
Plan and coordinate department production schedules, production rates, capacity plans, processing methods, and times.
Develop budgets and approve expenditures for necessary production resources, including equipment, materials, and the workforce.
Promote and maintain a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.
Direct and supervise first-line supervisors in their reporting and scheduling activities.
Communicate corrective action plans, resolutions, and quality results within the department.
Analyze reports and reviews provided by first-line supervisors to identify areas for improvement.
Conduct annual performance appraisals for all direct reports.
Mentor production team members to foster a professional and motivated workforce.
Assist in company/plant planning through department budget preparation, expenditure recommendations, and workforce/space forecasting.
Report any production, quality, maintenance, or personnel issues to the Director.
Perform any other activities as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing
At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience
Strong background in manufacturing with a focus on management and supervision.
Proficient in lean production principles and metrics.
Ability to prepare and interpret various metrics and reports.
Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to implement appropriate corrective measures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
