A regional leader in energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization serves commercial, institutional, government, and industrial clients across large-scale capital projects. This organization manages the full project lifecycle, from initial opportunity development through construction completion, and is adding a Project Delivery Consultant to support continued growth in its project pipeline.
In this role, you will work across business development, engineering, estimating, construction, and executive functions to develop project strategies, build competitive budgets, and ensure delivery teams are set up for successful execution. You will serve as a central resource throughout the pre-construction and transition phases, connecting sales and operations while managing client relationships directly.
Schedule
Full-time. Flexible base location with regional travel as project pursuits and client engagements require.
Compensation
$112,000 to $168,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus a 15 to 20% annual performance bonus.
What You'll Do
During the project pursuit phase, you will lead the development of execution plans, delivery strategies, preliminary schedules, and detailed cost estimates. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and estimating teams to build competitive project solutions, provide input on subcontractor strategy and vendor selection, assess constructability, identify value engineering opportunities, and support risk mitigation planning. You will participate in contract negotiations, help establish favorable commercial terms, billing structures, and payment schedules, and evaluate scope, customer requirements, and delivery risk throughout the development process.
On the planning and execution support side, you will develop and maintain preliminary project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent platforms, determine staffing and resource allocation requirements, and coordinate with delivery leadership to forecast construction and project management needs. You will assist with project setup, documentation control, and governance processes, and serve as a technical resource to construction managers during execution to maintain alignment with original design intent and project objectives. You will support change management efforts and ensure scope modifications are documented, priced, approved, and communicated prior to execution.
You will build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and industry partners, establishing touchpoints throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and alignment. You will present project plans, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies directly to clients and executive stakeholders, and serve as a trusted advisor during development and transition phases.
From a financial and commercial standpoint, you will support project financial planning and forecasting, contribute to profitability through accurate estimating and strategic procurement, participate in monthly financial reviews, develop project cash flow strategies, and negotiate and finalize Schedule of Values and payment milestones.
You will also promote safety-focused planning and execution practices, ensure compliance with applicable contractual, legal, regulatory, and code requirements, support risk management and documentation processes, and participate in project closeout reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
