A Texas-based heavy manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to provide technical support to their manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, assessing, and troubleshooting manufacturing procedures, equipment, and product assembly at customer sites. You will also manage various projects related to new products, new equipment, plant upgrades, and tooling designs. It is crucial to stay updated on the latest manufacturing methods, trends, and technological advancements to maintain the company's competitive edge.


· A preference for a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

· Minimum of five (5) years of related experience

· Experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement processes

· Preferred experience with AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus


· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, management, and production staff

· Ability to apply basic engineering principles for problem-solving in construction engineering

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects independently

· Creativity to brainstorm ideas and develop or improve devices meeting quality, space, weight, and cost objectives

· Effective listening skills and ability to articulate project goals and progress to a team

· Proficient in math, science, and computer skills

· Ability to work in a team and self-motivate with limited supervision

· Visual acuity, fine manipulation, and ability to sit for extended periods while performing job duties

· Capability to lift medium (60lbs.) while performing job duties

· Availability to work a flexible schedule with possible domestic and/or international travel


· Analyze manufacturing and quality control processes and propose improvements

· Calculate labor, material, and production costs

· Coordinate equipment maintenance as necessary

· Travel to plants and job sites for troubleshooting and installation support

· Develop project schedules for internal tracking

· Collaborate with multiple groups to produce monthly key metrics scorecards for assigned plants

· Resolve problems related to transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, or customer issues

· Prepare and submit required reports on a regular basis

· Perform any other related job duties as requested by executive management to ensure effective supply chain management
