Radiation Therapist

Key Responsibilities

• Administer photon and electron radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist

• Assist with brachytherapy procedures as needed

• Perform treatment simulations and construct shielding blocks

• Use proper documentation to verify patient treatment plans and ensure orders are followed accurately

• Operate all therapeutic and imaging equipment competently and safely

• Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of care

• Prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently during daily operations

• Educate and support patients and their families throughout treatment

• Demonstrate a willingness to cross-train in other areas to support department efficiency

Schedule & Compensation

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (no weekends, no holidays, no call)

• Salary Range: $74,000–$99,000 depending on experience

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy Program

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RTT)

• Licensed in the State of Ohio in Radiation Therapy (LRTT)

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy

• Experience with TrueBeam, Trilogy, and Aria systems is strongly preferred

Work Environment

• Join a team that includes 5 staff RTTs, 2 physicists, 2 CMDs, 1.6 RNs, and supportive leadership

• Reports to the Radiation Oncology Manager, known for strong leadership and team support
