Sanitation Supervisor – 3rd Shift | Food Manufacturing

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

• Food manufacturing sanitation experience required

• BS/BA/AAS, or equivalent of 7+ years of sanitation leadership experience (HS/GED required at minimum)

• Willingness and availability to work 3rd shift consistently

• Hands-on leadership style with genuine comfort working the production floor

Location: Bedford Park, IL
Compensation: $95,000–$110,000

A well-established food manufacturer in the Chicago south suburbs is hiring an experienced Sanitation Supervisor to take ownership of third-shift sanitation operations.

This is a floor-first role. The expectation is that you're present, visible, and leading from the production floor — not managing from an office. The culture here is hands-on and team-driven, and the incoming supervisor needs to match that energy from day one.

What the Job Involves

• Lead and supervise a sanitation team on 3rd shift across a large food manufacturing facility

• Maintain compliance with all sanitation, food safety, and regulatory requirements

• Drive accountability and consistency across the shift through direct floor presence and active team engagement

• Coordinate sanitation schedules, chemical usage, and equipment cleaning protocols

• Partner with production and quality teams to ensure sanitation standards are met without disrupting output

• Train, coach, and develop team members on proper procedures and safety standards

• Document sanitation activity and maintain accurate compliance records

What They Need

• BS/BA/AAS or equivalent of 7+ years of sanitation leadership experience; HS/GED required

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required

• Food manufacturing sanitation experience required

• Hands-on leadership style with genuine comfort working on the production floor

• Availability and willingness to work 3rd shift consistently
