- Our physical therapy team members play a vital role in ensuring the overall health and well-being of residents by delivering comprehensive and high-quality therapy services. A valid state-specific Physical Therapy license is required.
Responsibilities:

Initiate skilled physical therapy treatments as per physician’s orders; maintain necessary communication with physicians.

Keep written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries for residents in the physical therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address unique needs of residents, aiming to enhance rehabilitation or maintenance of function.

Contribute to Resident Care Planning meetings and attend during periods when the Director of Physical Therapy is absent.

Maintain statistical records of residents’ treatments.

Assist with in-service training programs upon request.

Document and update residents' plans of care in the Interdisciplinary Kardex.

Submit requisitions for supplies required in resident treatment to the Director of Physical Therapy.

Assume all duties of the Director of Physical Therapy during absences, including oversight of Physical Therapy Aides and responsibility for all necessary documentation.
Qualifications:

Graduation from an approved physical therapy school is mandatory.

Valid state license to practice physical therapy is required.

Preferably, two years of experience in physical therapy.

Interest in physical therapy treatment programs for geriatric and subacute populations is essential.

Ability to provide guidance and direction to others is necessary.
