Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Power Line Components)

Our client is a well-established and respected manufacturer serving the electric power line industry. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of critical utility products. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives in both innovation and hands-on product support within a manufacturing environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering/design experience
• Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, ProE, or similar)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new products for the electric utility market
• Create detailed part and assembly designs, drawings, and technical specifications
• Evaluate product requirements to ensure performance, quality, and compliance
• Analyze and review proposed product changes for feasibility and impact
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation processes
• Conduct functional, feasibility, and quality testing of designs
• Manage engineering change processes, including documentation and approvals
• Develop and implement efficient, cost-effective engineering procedures
• Prepare technical reports for internal stakeholders and external publication
• Provide technical support to field sales teams and assist with customer needs
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electric utility or power line product design
• Background in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, ProE, or similar CAD platforms
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management
