Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ
A publicly traded company in Phoenix is looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to join their corporate team in Phoenix, Arizona. This position requires working in an office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Finance team to understand their objectives and leverage opportunities to gain valuable insights and produce significant outcomes
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights
- Present findings and recommendations based on data analysis to drive data-informed decision-making
- Cover the entire analytics lifecycle, from comprehending the business objectives and data, to developing automated reporting and visualizations
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) financial data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency
- Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Research, recommend, and learn new analytics tools and platforms
- Automate manual processes and identify areas for further enhancements
- Develop self-service capabilities
- Perform comprehensive analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing meaningful insights and recommendations
- Identify potential areas for further investigation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related technical field; advanced analytics degrees preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as a Finance Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven organization
- Strong business acumen and the ability to present analysis in a compelling manner
- Expertise in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Proficient in using Smartsheets
- Experience in developing advanced statistical/Machine Learning-based financial forecasting models is a plus
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving with the ability to perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis
- Led projects from conception to completion
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Ability to find solutions to ambiguous problems
- Experience in establishing effective cross-functional partnerships
