Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead our supply chain operations in Danvers, MA. As the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for managing inventory, nurturing supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless production processes. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance throughout our operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Accuracy of Systems: Regularly update our planning system with accurate product demands, supplier lead times, and costs.
• Oversight of Inventory: Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages, minimize waste, and reduce inventory costs.
• Monitor Performance: Generate comprehensive reports on essential metrics such as inventory trends and supplier delivery times.
• Collaborate with Suppliers: Negotiate contracts, identify new suppliers, and ensure adherence to quality, pricing, and timing requirements.
• Assist in New Projects: Provide material support for launching new products or enhancing existing processes.
• Resolve Issues: Swiftly address any supply chain or inventory challenges that may disrupt production.
• Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain.
• Leadership Role: Lead and develop your team by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (supply chain management degree preferred).
• A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with quality standards such as ISO.
• Demonstrated success in managing purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in tools like ERP systems, Kanban, and other lean manufacturing practices.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with various teams across the organization.
• Experience working with global suppliers (additional experience in Asia is advantageous).
• Professional certifications such as APICS or ISM are desirable.
