A professional engineering firm in Warrington, PA is seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor to take on a leadership role within its Survey Department. This position involves full-cycle project management across a diverse portfolio including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, utility as-builts, roadway projects, and construction stakeout services. The role includes direct collaboration with field crews, technicians, and clients on technically complex work.

Schedule Full-time, on-site. Standard business hours. Confirm specific schedule details with employer prior to posting.

Compensation  $110,000 - $140,000 Per Year

What You'll Do

As the survey project management lead, you will oversee all phases of survey projects from initial planning through final deliverables, maintaining quality control standards and meeting client deadlines across multiple concurrent assignments. You will coordinate directly with clients, serve as a technical resource for field crews and CAD technicians, and ensure work product meets regulatory and professional standards.

You will manage boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, utility as-built documentation, roadway surveys, and construction stakeout services. Day-to-day responsibilities include project scheduling, crew coordination, client communication, and internal QC review of survey data and drawings produced in Autodesk Civil 3D.

You will also contribute to department leadership, mentoring junior staff and technicians while helping shape workflows and production standards within the Survey Department.

Required Qualifications

  • Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, active and in good standing
  • 5 or more years of survey project management experience
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ALTA/NSPS, boundary, and topographic survey standards
  • Experience with construction stakeout and utility projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, active or ability to obtain
  • Experience in a multi-discipline professional engineering environment
  • Familiarity with land development entitlement and municipal submission processes
  • Experience supervising or mentoring field crews or junior survey staff
