Charleston, SC (Onsite) | $140,000 to $175,000 + Bonus

A well-established, operationally driven organization in the Charleston, SC area is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to strengthen leadership support, improve workforce consistency, and build scalable HR processes. This is a senior, highly visible role suited for an HR professional who thrives in field-based, industrial environments and understands how to translate HR strategy into operational results.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours availability for urgent employee matters and regular travel to operational locations throughout the region.

Compensation: $140,000 to $175,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership while remaining hands-on in day-to-day HR execution. You will partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, talent strategy, organizational structure, and leadership development, providing coaching and guidance to managers navigating complex workforce challenges. You will support employee engagement, succession planning, retention initiatives, and performance management programs across the organization.

On the operational side, you will develop and improve HR processes, standard operating procedures, policies, and programs that support organizational growth and scalability. You will identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, strengthen accountability and consistency across the HR function, and oversee HRIS reporting, workforce analytics, and employee documentation. You will provide leadership with actionable workforce data and recommendations to drive business performance.

This position operates across a combination of office and field environments, with regular visits to operational sites throughout the region to support managers and employees directly.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 10 or more years of progressive Human Resources experience

  • 5 or more years of HR leadership experience

  • Experience supporting operational, field-based workforces in industrial, construction, manufacturing, logistics, or similar environments

  • Strong employee relations experience and demonstrated skill in leadership coaching

  • Experience building HR programs, processes, and organizational structure from the ground up

  • HRIS proficiency required

  • Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-site operations

  • Multi-state HR compliance experience

  • Experience leading HR through organizational growth and change management initiatives

  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification

  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Compensation and Benefits
