Calibration Technician
Pendleton, South Carolina

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour

This Calibration Technician role supports a global manufacturing company involved in medical product development and education. This position maintains calibration status for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment across the facility, working within an established quality and regulatory framework.

The Calibration Technician follows established laboratory safety and operational procedures, and conducts or organizes calibration activities for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment to maintain calibration status. This role schedules and coordinates calibrations among departments, including scheduling outside contractors as needed, and enters data into the calibration management system. The Technician performs repair and preventive maintenance on gages and equipment, prepares calibration reports and certificates, and tracks and maintains equipment status throughout its lifecycle. This position initiates non-conformance reports (NCRs) for out of tolerance equipment, manages lost equipment status and calibration interval adjustments within the calibration management system, and documents all activities legibly following established formats and procedures. The Calibration Technician also represents the calibration function during regulatory inspections.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• 2+ years of experience calibrating inspection equipment and hand gages
• 2+ years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of calibration principles
• PMEL or equivalent training
• Experience with SAP or equivalent calibration management software
• Experience with laser micrometers and quality control inspection equipment
• Background in aerospace, pharmaceutical, automotive, or medical device manufacturing
