Lead strategic sourcing for freight and indirect commodities and deliver measurable savings for a manufacturing operation.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field
- 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or commodity management in manufacturing
- Solid working knowledge of SAP
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build business cases and prove cost reductions
What You'll Do
- Develop sourcing strategies and run competitive bids
- Negotiate supplier agreements for air, ocean, rail, and inbound and outbound freight
- Manage additional categories such as MRO, chemicals, scrap metal, packaging, and consumables
- Partner with plant stakeholders to define requirements
- Consolidate spend and expand blanket agreements
- Identify cost and inventory reduction opportunities
Nice-to-Haves
- Freight or transportation sourcing experience
- Experience with chemicals, lubricants, coatings, or industrial commodities
