Heavy Civil Construction Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Estimator with a background in civil construction estimating, specifically heavy civil, site work, drainage systems, utilities, and roads. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· A four-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, but applicants with Associates or partial degrees and relevant experience will also be considered.

· Experience as an estimator bidding on site work projects for a general contractor is required.

· Experience in estimating grading and utilities, particularly for site development, industrial, commercial, and mining projects.

· Estimating experience with projects ranging from $500K to $10 million.

· Experience in estimating self-performed work and accurately pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.

· Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.

· Ability to produce accurate estimates based on conceptual and schematic drawings.

· Ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates.

· Ability to assess construction risks and factor them into estimates.

· Ability to identify constructability issues during the estimating process.

· Ability to seek value-engineering alternatives where possible.

· Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.

· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe, as well as experience with takeoff/modeling software like Agtek, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, or CAD.

· Experience with Bid2Win (B2W) Heavy Bid (HCSS) or similar software.

· Occasional travel within the SC, NC, and GA regions may be required.
