An acute care hospital in Elko, Nevada is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead strategic HR initiatives across workforce planning, employee engagement, labor relations, and compliance. Reporting to and advising executive leadership, you will direct recruitment, performance management, and employee relations while managing a unionized workforce. This is a full-time, exempt leadership role.

Schedule Full time, exempt, onsite.

Compensation $101,000 to $137,000 per year, depending on experience.

What You'll Do You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, guiding workforce planning and development, and lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and culture. You will oversee labor relations, including managing collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations, and provide expert guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations.

You will direct recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to meet organizational staffing needs, and ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and regulations. You will analyze workforce metrics to identify opportunities for operational improvement, develop and mentor HR team members, and manage departmental budgets and HR expenditures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management
  • Experience advising senior leadership teams and managing HR operations
  • Experience supervising HR staff
  • Experience in acute care hospital settings
  • Experience in union environments, including collective bargaining

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience with culture transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing departmental budgets
