Merchandising Manager
Metuchen, NJ (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience in home soft goods (e.g., bedding, textiles, home décor)
• Direct experience working with Walmart as a retail partner
• Proven track record managing the full product development lifecycle
• Strong vendor management experience, including overseas sourcing
• Ability to negotiate pricing, lead times, and production schedules
• Strong understanding of market trends, assortment planning, and cost optimization

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven Merchandising Manager to lead product strategy and development within the home soft goods category. This role blends strategic merchandising with hands-on product development, working closely with Walmart and global suppliers to deliver innovative, cost-effective products that meet market demand.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Merchandising Strategy

• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept through production
• Identify market opportunities and translate insights into commercially successful product assortments
• Develop innovative, trend-right, and cost-effective product offerings aligned with customer expectations

Retail & Customer Collaboration

• Serve as a key point of contact for Walmart, ensuring alignment on product strategy and execution
• Partner closely with internal teams and retail stakeholders to deliver the right product mix

Vendor & Supply Chain Management

• Collaborate with overseas vendors to develop and deliver products on time and within budget
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and production schedules to meet margin and delivery targets
• Monitor production progress and address any issues to ensure successful product launches
