Position Overview:
We are excited to partner with a global, industry-leading printing and packaging company in the Cincinnati area to identify a Operations Manager (Printing / Packaging) for this newly created leadership role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful organization and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence on the night shift.
The Operations Manager - Nights will be responsible for leading up to 50 employees across multiple areas of the operation, overseeing major equipment assets, and ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are consistently met. This leader will champion continuous improvement initiatives, coach and develop team members, and maintain a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Qualifications:

Printing/Packaging industry experience is required.

Minimum of 5 years total manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

Proficiency in 6S/Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Hands-on experience with machinery, automation, and software tools (including financial reporting, attendance tracking, inventory control, and Microsoft Office—especially Word and Excel).

Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently while balancing priorities.

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Experience with process improvement programs is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and successfully lead manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise up to 50 employees, ensuring effective performance in all assigned operational areas.

Manage accountability for major plant equipment assets.

Coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members, ensuring high performance and ongoing development.

Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in line with company and customer standards.

Champion safety and quality culture throughout the plant, actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Clearly communicate job expectations and hold team members accountable to operational standards, processes, and procedures.

Achieve production goals by effectively scheduling personnel and addressing any safety, quality, maintenance, productivity, or staffing issues promptly.

Understand and communicate production priorities while ensuring accurate shift production reporting.

Drive automation improvements and efficiencies in equipment and processes.

Complete all required personnel documentation and reports, including time and attendance tracking, and conduct effective performance reviews.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field preferred.

Associate degree with relevant experience in printing and packaging will be considered.
