Our client, situated near Purdue University in Lafayette, IN, is seeking a skilled Process/Project Engineer to join their large processing facility. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring day-to-day production efficiency, contributing to various projects, developing process designs, mentoring junior engineers, and more.

Further responsibilities include:

• Assisting in proposal preparation and providing engineering reports, cost estimates, and process transmittals
• Contributing to the design of moderately complex engineering projects or handling parts of major projects
• Bringing forward ideas for safer, cost-effective, or innovative techniques, regardless of project relevance
• Collaborating cross-functionally internally and externally
• Offering technical supervision and instructions to process operators
• Assisting entry level professionals in procedural and technical matters
• Troubleshooting issues and suggesting corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a process/manufacturing environment
• Strong desire for personal growth, learning new operations, and mentoring others in overcoming engineering challenges
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in basic chemical operations is essential
