Role Description:
The Director of Nursing / Director of Clinical Services is responsible for directing and overseeing interdisciplinary teams, ensuring the needs of hospice patients and their families are met and aligning with company policies and guidelines. The DON / DCS also communicates patient information to the business office and fosters positive relationships with families, physicians, and other agencies. In the absence of the Executive Director/Administrator, the DON / DCS assumes administrative and management duties as the agency's alternate Administrator.

- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment
- Deep understanding and acceptance of the principles and philosophy of hospice care
- At least 1-3 years of healthcare management experience, preferably within a hospice setting
- Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with hospice EMR systems
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Maintains the highest standards of integrity, including strict confidentiality of all personnel and patient records
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of three years of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse, with a preference for previous work in a hospice environment.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
