Compensation: Base salary up to $105,000
Our client in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to prepare complex tax returns and deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services. Must-Haves (Required Qualifications)

3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws

Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns

Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office

Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
Role Overview
The Senior Tax Accountant plays a key role in client engagements, handling complex compliance work while identifying tax planning opportunities. This position also provides exposure to staff mentorship, client interaction, and technical research in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Review

Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts

Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all tax filings

Assist with IRS and state audits, notices, and correspondence
Tax Research & Planning

Perform technical tax research and clearly document conclusions

Identify and communicate proactive tax planning opportunities to clients

Stay current on changes in tax laws and accounting standards
Client Service & Engagement Management

Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining high-quality service

Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and responsiveness

Support senior team members in delivering advisory services
Team Support & Development

Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and interns

Review work, provide feedback, and support team development

Contribute to a collaborative and professional team culture
Technology & Process Improvement

Utilize tax software and technology tools to improve efficiency and accuracy

Support continuous improvement of tax processes and workflows
Preferred Qualifications

CPA license or progress toward CPA

Master’s degree in Taxation
