Tax Accountant (CPA Firm)

Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

A growing boutique CPA firm in North Phoenix is seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join its dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns

• Prepare tax extensions and perform year-end tax projections

• Conduct tax research and provide detailed findings

• Generate trial balances and financial statements

• Respond to IRS and state tax authority notices

• Proactively communicate with clients to gather information and provide financial and tax-related guidance

• Assist with financial statement reviews and compilations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

• CPA license or CPA candidate strongly preferred

• 1–4 years of tax experience within a public accounting firm

• Experience with financial statement reviews and compilations

• Proficiency in accounting and general office software

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
