Our client, a respected public accounting and consulting firm, is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join their growing team. As a Tax Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing tax engagements, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services. This role is ideal for professionals who are technically skilled, client-focused, and eager to take on increased responsibility within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical:

Review various tax returns and supporting workpapers, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns

Prepare complex corporate and partnership tax returns

Serve as a technical resource for tax staff and interns

Perform basic to advanced tax research and apply findings to client matters

Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and service providers to deliver comprehensive tax planning across individual, corporate, partnership, and trust clients

Review and respond to federal, state, and local tax notices
Supervisory & Leadership:

Delegate work assignments to tax staff and interns, ensuring clarity in expectations

Supervise, mentor, and evaluate performance of junior team members

Participate in administrative and strategic projects within the tax department and firm-wide

Serve as the primary contact for select client engagements

Foster a collaborative and positive team environment across departments

Assist in training and development of firm personnel

Develop professional relationships through networking, prospecting, and community engagement
Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation from an accredited institution

Active CPA license
