Swing Shift Manufacturing Equipment PLC Technician

  • This position requires working 5 days a week on a swing shift schedule, with 12-hour shifts and 6 days off every 3 weeks
  • Compensation can go up to $29.50 per hour
  • Candidates must have a degree in electrical mechanical or related field, experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, PLC expertise, and knowledge of AC and DC drives
  • A strong and consistent work history without frequent job changes is mandatory
  • Applicants must be either US citizens or Green Card holders

This is a full-time opportunity for a Manufacturing Equipment PLC Technician at an innovative paper product manufacturing company in De Pere, WI. With an incredibly low employee turnover rate, this company is known for being a great place to work. The company recently completed a $100 million expansion and is looking to further expand its operations. Employees enjoy a rotating schedule of five 12-hour shifts, which allows for a block of six consecutive days off every three weeks, similar to a mini vacation.

As a Manufacturing Equipment PLC Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working a rotating schedule of 5-day, 12-hour shifts with 6 consecutive days off every 3 weeks
  • Performing electro-mechanical maintenance on various paper product making machinery
  • Operating and troubleshooting DC and AC drives
  • Maintaining and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to work a rotating schedule of 5-day, 12-hour shifts with 6 consecutive days off every 3 weeks
  • Degree in electrical mechanical or related field
  • Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance
  • Proficiency in working with PLCs
  • Familiarity with AC and DC drives
  • Ability to travel occasionally (every other month) for two days, as required
  • Willingness to work Saturdays, if necessary
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Steady work history without multiple short-term positions
  • Must be a US citizen or possess a green card
  • Residence should be within 45 minutes of the De Pere area
