A Top 500 ENR-ranked full-service engineering firm with deep roots in Central Florida is hiring a Division Manager to lead its land and site development practice in Winter Haven. The firm serves both private and public sector clients across central Florida, with an established portfolio of site development, water resources, and stormwater management projects. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of engineers and support staff and reporting to firm leadership.
Schedule
Full-time, onsite in Winter Haven, FL. Standard business hours with flexibility based on project demands.
Compensation
$140,000 – $180,000 Per Year. Commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based bonus opportunity.
What You’ll Do
As Division Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and support staff delivering private and public land and site development projects across central Florida. Your responsibilities span both technical production and client-facing leadership. You will manage all aspects of project execution, including client interface, presentations to clients and municipalities, proposal preparation, and budget development. You will supervise and contribute directly to site development design, plan preparation, grading plans, permit applications, and report writing.
On the technical side, you will oversee and perform stormwater management design work, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design, and Erosion and Sediment Control planning. You will coordinate across design disciplines, manage project scopes and schedules, and provide technical direction to your team throughout each project phase.
You will also play an active role in maintaining and growing the firm’s relationships with state and local agencies, including FDOT and Water Management Districts. Business development, client retention, and representation at municipal and agency meetings are expected parts of this role.
Required Qualifications

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida

10 or more years of experience in civil site development or water resources engineering

Demonstrated experience with drainage and stormwater management design, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across design disciplines

Experience preparing client proposals, project budgets, and technical reports

Experience making presentations to clients and municipal or regulatory bodies
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ICPR (Interconnected Channel and Pond Routing) modeling software

Established relationships with FDOT, South Florida Water Management District, Southwest Florida Water Management District, or other regional Water Management Districts

Experience in a division or practice group leadership role within a multi-discipline engineering firm

Familiarity with Central Florida permitting processes and regulatory frameworks

ENR-ranked or similarly sized firm background
