Land Development Civil Engineering Team Lead (PE) Centennial, CO | Full-Time | Direct Hire | $95,000 - $140,000

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
  • Strong technical expertise in Civil Engineering design - grading, drainage, utilities, and site design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Colorado PE License (preferred)
  • Experience reviewing construction plans, cost estimates, calculations, and reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with municipalities, review agencies, and regulatory entities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hydrology and hydraulics modeling - StormCAD, CUHP, EPA SWMM, or HEC-RAS
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior engineering staff
  • Familiarity with water resources, wastewater, transportation, structural, or geotechnical disciplines

What You'll Own

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of 2-6 engineers and designers, managing workload, priorities, and deliverables
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Design Engineers through meaningful feedback and hands-on direction
  • Conduct performance reviews and evaluate staff capabilities at regular intervals
  • Maintain team utilization targets and overall technical performance
  • Sign and seal drawings prepared under your supervision

Project Production

  • Lead projects or major portions of projects as Production Lead
  • Review construction plans, cost estimates, calculations, models, and reports for accuracy and quality
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, identifying bottlenecks and driving continuous improvement
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Client and Agency Interaction

  • Serve as a professional point of contact in client meetings, phone calls, and email correspondence
  • Build and maintain relationships with city, county, and regulatory agency professionals
  • Participate in conceptual and creative project planning to deliver cost-effective and practical solutions
  • Support proposal preparation and additional services documentation as needed
