Process Engineer - Aluminum

This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Plant Manager, supporting a new manufacturing group producing cold plates for data center cooling applications. The role covers the full production ramp, from prototype build through repeatable low-volume manufacturing, and works closely with customers, suppliers, and the broader manufacturing team. This position also offers a defined path to advancement into an Operations Manager role.

Schedule
Full-time, on-site in Tecumseh, Michigan.

Compensation
$100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do
This engineer will take new cold plate products from prototype build through to repeatable low-volume production, developing and refining the manufacturing processes needed to scale output reliably. This includes process engineering across fabrication methods such as extrusion, welding, brazing, tube bending, CNC machining, and pressing. The role also serves as the key point of contact across customers, suppliers, and the manufacturing group, coordinating process changes and production readiness as the group grows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (not specified in the original posting, recommend confirming with client)
• Process engineering experience in one or more of the following: extrusion, welding, brazing, tube bending, CNC machining, or pressing
• Experience taking a product from prototype through repeatable low-volume production
• Strong ability to interface directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional manufacturing teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Process engineering experience specific to aluminum fabrication
• Experience in data center cooling, cold plate manufacturing, or advanced electronics thermal management
• Experience supporting a new manufacturing line or production ramp-up
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
