AI Program Manager - Manufacturing

Milwaukee, WI | $120,000 to $150,000 per year | Full-time

A global manufacturer of cable management and electrical connectivity products is hiring an AI Program Manager at its North American headquarters in Milwaukee. The role builds and runs the company's AI program across North America, focused on automating repetitive work, removing process waste, and delivering measurable savings across plant sites. You will work with Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, HR, and Finance to select the right problems and scale successful projects.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, based in Milwaukee, WI, with travel to North American plant sites as needed.

Compensation

$120,000 to $150,000 per year.

What You'll Do

You will start by finding the right opportunities. That means interviewing stakeholders to understand business goals and constraints, translating them into clear AI project requirements, and building business cases with each department that baseline current performance and quantify expected benefits.

You will own the AI program roadmap. Working with business leaders, you will prioritize initiatives by value, labor hour avoidance, feasibility, and risk, and break the roadmap into short, iterative deliverables. Projects move through a stage-gated process (scope, pilot, then scale) aligned with the company's Center of Excellence governance, with defined decision forums, risk controls, and incremental results. You will also work with business and IT teams to build the data infrastructure and tools the roadmap requires.

As projects go live, you will transition ownership of AI agents and workflows to the business teams that use them. You will partner with change management so new tools are adopted and built into standard processes. You will track and report benefits, including hard dollar savings, labor hours avoided, waste reduction, and efficiency gains, so results are visible and auditable. You will also coach stakeholders to spot AI use cases in their own processes, which helps build AI skills across the organization.

On governance, you will partner with Legal and HR on data privacy and AI use policies, and ensure every solution meets corporate IT cybersecurity and risk requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in program or project management, engineering, manufacturing, computer science, data analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years leading data, AI, or automation programs in a manufacturing environment
• Track record of delivering hard dollar savings and labor hour avoidance
• Strong program management skills, including business cases, roadmaps, stage-gate governance, and program financials
• Experience leading cross-functional work with Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT, HR, and Finance
• Working knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity considerations for AI solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Experience embedding AI within a continuous improvement program
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure AI Foundry
• Experience scaling automation across multiple plant sites
• PMP or PgMP certification
