Plant Controller
Our client is seeking an Assistant Plant Accountant to fill a retiring Plant Controller position. They are a long-standing building materials manufacturing company located in Phillips, WI. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Assistant Plant Accountant will handle all accounting functions for the plant.

Responsibilities:
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in maintaining accounting records for the plant.
- Compile and organize financial information to establish and manage the standard cost and perpetual inventory systems for the plant.
- Establish standards for raw material cost, labor routings, and roll-ups, and provide recommendations for cost efficiency.
- Participate in special projects involving cost monitoring and estimating.
- Prepare the annual budget for the manufacturing facility and review monthly actual cost versus budget spending reports with the Plant Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with cost accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system, preferably JD Edwards or AS400, is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Stable work history and a strong attention to detail and organization.
