A high-growth manufacturer of custom industrial control panel enclosures, generator enclosures, and electrical houses (E-Houses) is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead mechanical design for mission critical power infrastructure products. This role serves as the primary technical interface with clients and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring products meet UL standards and customer specifications.

Full time, on-site.
Compensation
$150,000 to $190,000 per year, based on experience.
What You'll Do
The Engineering Manager leads mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, and integrated mechanical assemblies, including custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems. This person partners with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on schedule and within scope, collaborates across disciplines to ensure structural and cooling systems are optimized for durability, safety, and efficiency, and specifies materials and components based on geographic and environmental considerations.
This role produces detailed design packages including drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards, and drives engineering schedules to meet project milestones. The Engineering Manager also maintains and improves internal engineering standards, identifies opportunities to improve design efficiency and manufacturability, leads design reviews, and mentors junior engineers and designers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical or engineering roles
- At least 5 years collaborating on mission critical custom enclosures, including PDC, PDM, pods, tanks, modules, power shelters, UL enclosures, E-houses, or switchgear buildings
- Expertise in mechanical design within commercial or industrial construction settings
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (3D)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
