Strategic Sourcing Analyst - Heavy Equipment

Milwaukee, WI | $65,000 to $80,000 per year plus 8% bonus | Full-time

A growing division of a global heavy mobile equipment manufacturer is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Analyst in the Milwaukee area. The division has production orders booked a year out and a sourcing team that is expanding to support that demand. The role focuses on commodity research, data analysis, and sourcing tools, working under the Director of Sourcing and alongside senior sourcing analysts. This is a sourcing and purchasing role, not a demand planning role.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site. The standard week is 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and a 4-hour day on Friday, with no PTO required for the shorter Friday. Travel is 20% to 30%.

Compensation

$65,000 to $80,000 base salary, plus an 8% bonus.

What You'll Do

You will research and analyze the commodities assigned to you, such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, and plastics. You will gather supplier and cost data so the sourcing team can make informed purchasing decisions. You will also validate commodity and product information and help build the tools and processes the team uses to evaluate suppliers and costs.

You will develop key performance metrics for areas of the supply chain as requested, then adjust them as process improvements take hold. You will create business process flow diagrams, compile your findings, and report recommendations to the Director of Sourcing and senior analysts. Travel to suppliers and company sites makes up 20% to 30% of the role.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of master supply agreements and cost breakdown analysis
• Experience with an ERP system and reporting tools
• Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel
• Solid communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to travel 20% to 30%
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP experience
• Sourcing experience with castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics
• ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP, formerly APICS)
• Experience in heavy equipment, off-highway, or industrial machinery manufacturing
• Experience building sourcing KPIs or dashboards
