Electrical Project Control Engineer - PLC and DCS

Circleville, OH | $85,000 to $120,000 per year plus 10% bonus | Full-time, on-site

A manufacturing facility in Circleville, Ohio is hiring an Electrical Project Control Engineer to lead electrical and process control capital projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from scoping and design through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations. It includes both new installations and modifications to existing plant systems. This is an office-based position at the plant.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site in Circleville, OH. Some off-hours work may be needed during plant shutdowns and system outages.

Compensation

$85,000 to $120,000 base salary, plus a 10% annual bonus.

What You'll Do

You will own electrical and process control projects across the facility. You will develop project concepts, scopes, and engineering plans, prepare scope documents, and gather bids for engineering, equipment, and construction. You will build and manage project budgets and schedules, track costs from concept through commissioning, and step in when spending trends threaten the approved budget.

During execution, you will coordinate construction activity, plant shutdowns, and system outages. You will supervise contractors, vendors, and internal engineering resources, and support start-up, commissioning, and handover to operations. You will write operating procedures and support training for new or modified systems.

Beyond projects, you will lead improvements to process control systems, plant infrastructure, and electrical power distribution, and help operations and maintenance diagnose and resolve issues. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, purchasing, and EHS. You will also make sure projects comply with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), IATF 16949, and environmental permitting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or a related engineering field
• 5+ years of controls experience with DCS or PLC systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience delivering electrical, controls, or capital projects from concept through commissioning
• Experience developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Strong understanding of process control systems, plant electrical infrastructure, and power distribution
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, operations, and maintenance teams
• Working knowledge of industrial safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience
• Industrial process instrumentation experience
• Experience with GE Proficy iFIX SCADA, HMI, and historian software
• Experience working under OSHA PSM
• Experience in an IATF 16949 manufacturing environment
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
