Operations Manager, Manufacturing Plant

Location: New Milford, CT
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000 to $100,000 per year

Take the lead on every part of a manufacturing plant, from production and quality to supply chain and safety, as an Operations Manager driving results and continuous improvement.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience
• 5+ years in operations or supply chain management in a leadership role
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decisions
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior management and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Valid driver's license

What You'll Do

• Lead plant operations across production, quality, purchasing, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain
• Manage and develop the production, quality, and supply chain leaders who report to you
• Track manufacturing KPIs like throughput, yield, downtime, and on-time delivery, and drive improvements
• Build production schedules that balance customer demand with labor and equipment capacity
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA and environmental compliance
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues and non-conformances
• Develop and manage operating budgets and capital expenditures
• Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate timely procurement of materials
• Lead operational audits and support ISO and FDA compliance where applicable
• Shape strategic planning for capacity, resources, and continuous improvement

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with MRP and production tracking systems
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Exposure to ISO or FDA regulated manufacturing environments

Compensation and Benefits

• $85,000 to $100,000 base salary based on experience
• Senior leadership role with full ownership of plant operations
• Direct influence on strategy, capacity planning, and team development
