Occupational Therapist

Location: Miles City, MT
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day shift
Pay: $36.41 to $54.62 per hour plus sign-on and relocation bonus

Help patients regain independence and return to daily life as an Occupational Therapist at a progressive rural hospital in the scenic Badlands of Eastern Montana.

Must-Haves

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current OT registration (as required by the client)
• Montana Occupational Therapist license

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
• Design treatment programs that improve strength, range of motion, and fine motor coordination
• Train patients in ADLs, adaptive techniques, and adaptive equipment for self-care and home management
• Design and fabricate splints, slings, and adaptive equipment
• Treat patients with traumatic brain injuries and neurological conditions
• Provide sensory motor integration and visual perceptual remediation
• Train patients in upper extremity prosthetic use
• Conduct home assessments and create home exercise programs for patients and families
• Consult with schools, nursing homes, and home care agencies on positioning and adaptive equipment

Nice-to-Haves

• Splinting and orthotic fabrication experience
• Experience with TBI or neuro rehab patients
• Background in a critical access or rural hospital setting
