CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - MID-LEVEL

Our esteemed client, a reputable AmLaw 50 law firm, is in search of a talented and driven Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Construction Law Practice Group based in Chicago.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Hold a JD degree from an esteemed top-tier law school and have a commendable academic record.
• Must have a valid Bar Membership in the state of Illinois.
• Possess 2+ years of significant experience in construction law or similar complex litigation matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in resolving construction disputes by means of litigation, including matters pertaining to delay and disruption claims, payment disputes like mechanic's liens, bonds, stop notice claims, product claims, and breach of contract claims.
• Preference will be given to those with a broad scope of litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery, and a keen interest in specializing in construction law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with remarkable references.
• Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 firm or a judicial clerkship experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on an extensive range of construction law matters, incorporating contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution (through ADR and litigation).
• Represent clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution proceedings related to construction disputes in both state and federal courts.
• Supervise all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation, with an emphasis on swift and efficient resolution of disputes.
• Collaborate with a proficient team of attorneys in handling intricate and high-stakes cases in construction law.

We offer a competitive compensation package, ranging from $235,000 to $365,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
