JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for achieving service gross profit targets, overseeing operations, and maintaining customer relationships. You will ensure the contractual obligations for HVAC and electrical system maintenance are met while working closely with a team of technicians and subcontractors. Managing a portfolio of clients, you will ensure efficient and profitable project execution, while also designing, estimating, and proposing new service projects and contract upgrades.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieve planned gross profit targets by effectively managing your team.

• Delegate and organize work assignments based on job descriptions and procedures, providing guidance to ensure common objectives are met.

• Conduct audits and document the performance of your team, ensuring follow-up actions are taken.

• Conduct regular site visits to inspect equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and quality.

• Provide clear instructions, direction, and logistical support to maximize productivity and output.

• Foster a motivating and positive work environment, promoting high employee morale within your team.

• Optimize labor costs by managing staffing levels according to job requirements.

• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring long-term satisfaction and relationship maintenance.

• Perform customer C.A.R.E.(S) to strengthen relationships and guarantee customer loyalty.

• Support the sales force by attending client meetings as required.

• Monitor and manage the efficient use of equipment, tools, and materials to control costs and ensure smooth field operations.

• Meet or exceed expense targets in alignment with the annual plan.

• Train and motivate your team, continuously developing their skills as individuals and as a group.

• Ensure the technical capabilities of your field force align with current contractual commitments and market strategies.

• Hold regular status review meetings with your team and supervisors, compiling relevant information and making recommendations to the Operations Manager.

• Forecast workforce needs, organizational changes, and vehicle requirements to achieve planned gross profit levels.

• Effectively negotiate price escalations for existing agreements at renewal time.

• Proactively respond to notice of cancellations, striving to retain the customer and renew at least 92% of your contract base annually.

• Collaborate with the operations manager to establish crew size guidelines, monitoring them and recommending adjustments as needed.

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieve a minimum project sales plan of $450,000.

• Promote new business and contract upgrades by guiding and directing your team to generate and report leads and sales opportunities.

• Provide sales personnel with qualified leads and keep them informed about competitive sales efforts.

• Generate and pass on at least 6 leads to the construction department throughout the year.

• Encourage field technicians to identify and close at least one sales opportunity each month.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct interviews, assist in hiring processes, conduct performance reviews, and administer disciplinary measures as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician, Service Manager, Project Sales Representative, or Operations Manager.

• 5 years of experience managing commercial accounts.

• 5 years of experience working in commercial, educational, governmental, or industrial facilities.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Professionalism, tact, and strong negotiation abilities.

• Ability to maintain regular attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position operates in a professional office environment. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, is used on a daily basis.

• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to business appointments and job sites.

• May be required to climb ladders to access equipment.

• Must be willing and able to open mechanical equipment and conduct visual inspections, following proper training and safety protocols.
