What we are seeking:
•A bachelor's degree in rehabilitation therapy is required.
•Must be registered with the American Rehabilitation Therapy Association.
•Must have a valid license to practice rehabilitation therapy in the State of Montana.
Hours and compensation:
•This position is for day shifts.
•The salary range is between $34.50/hr and $42/hr, along with comprehensive benefits and relocation/sign-on bonus.
Your responsibilities:
•As a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will conduct diagnostic assessments and provide treatment to assigned patients. You will assist them in reaching their maximum potential and utilizing their learned skills to the fullest extent for community integration within their capabilities.
•You will administer comprehensive evaluations and maintain accurate documentation as per departmental standards and procedures. You will also offer consultation services on topics such as environmental design, adaptive equipment, proper patient positioning to prevent contractures and splinting, and collaborate with local schools, nursing homes, home care agencies, and hospitals.
•Maintaining timely and accurate patient records and reports is essential in this role.
•Designing and implementing treatment programs to enhance patients' functional abilities will be a key responsibility. This will include utilizing therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination. Additionally, you will teach patients adapted techniques and the use of adaptive equipment for activities such as meal preparation, home management, dressing, feeding, and self-care skills. Training patients in the use of upper-extremity prosthetic devices to resume their previous routines and participating in home assessments will also be part of your role.
•You will provide therapy for neurological integration, administer sensor-motor integration treatment techniques, and implement visual perceptual-motor remediation programs. Furthermore, you will use activities to enhance patients' developmental levels and design individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
•Additionally, you will design and fabricate splints as per doctors' prescriptions, as well as create slings and adaptive equipment to meet the needs of patients and their families.
•Offering treatment programs to traumatic brain-injured patients, focusing on improving judgment skills, reality orientation, and organizational skills, will also fall under your responsibilities.
•You will provide prevention therapy to maintain functional skills, educating patients on energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, transferring, and managing visual field deficits. Instructing patients' families on personal care, including proper transfer techniques to avoid back strain, will also be part of your duties.
•Conducting activities to assess patients' organizational skills, attention spans, cognitive abilities, coordination (fine and gross-motor), and determining adaptive-equipment needs will also be expected.
•Designing home programs and instructing patients and their families on implementing those programs will be part of your role as well.
•Participating in patient support groups alongside other team members will contribute to providing comprehensive care.
•Conducting evaluations and developing personalized care plans are additional responsibilities.
