  • Our occupational therapy staff members are dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of residents by delivering comprehensive and high-quality therapeutic services.
  • A valid occupational therapy license in the state is required.
  • The schedule includes weekdays and weekends.


  • Initiate skilled occupational therapy treatments as per physician's orders and maintain necessary communication with physicians.

  • Keep written evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents in the occupational therapy program.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the special needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or function maintenance.

  • Offer input during Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

  • Maintain statistical records of residents' treatments.

  • Assist with in-service training programs upon request.

  • Record and update residents' care plans.


  • Completion of an approved occupational therapy school is required.

  • Must have a valid state license to practice occupational therapy.

  • Two years of occupational therapy experience is preferred.

  • Interest in utilizing a team approach for occupational therapy treatment programs focused on geriatric and subacute populations.

  • Ability to provide direction to others is necessary.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Must possess a sense of responsibility and work well with residents, families, and other staff members.

  • Must demonstrate qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Ability to work in a friendly and supportive manner with geriatric and chronically ill residents and other professionals is necessary.

  • Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence is required.
