- Our occupational therapy staff members are dedicated to ensuring the health and well-being of residents by delivering comprehensive and high-quality therapeutic services.
- A valid occupational therapy license in the state is required.
- The schedule includes weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities:

Initiate skilled occupational therapy treatments as per physician's orders and maintain necessary communication with physicians.

Keep written evaluations, progress notes, MDS records, and discharge summaries for residents in the occupational therapy program.

Collaborate with other healthcare staff to address the special needs of residents and enhance their rehabilitation or function maintenance.

Offer input during Resident Care Planning meetings and attend in the absence of the Director of Occupational Therapy.

Maintain statistical records of residents' treatments.

Assist with in-service training programs upon request.

Record and update residents' care plans.
Qualifications:

Completion of an approved occupational therapy school is required.

Must have a valid state license to practice occupational therapy.

Two years of occupational therapy experience is preferred.

Interest in utilizing a team approach for occupational therapy treatment programs focused on geriatric and subacute populations.

Ability to provide direction to others is necessary.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must possess a sense of responsibility and work well with residents, families, and other staff members.

Must demonstrate qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Ability to work in a friendly and supportive manner with geriatric and chronically ill residents and other professionals is necessary.

Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence is required.
