Compensation: $580,000 to $680,000 per year (base salary negotiable, plus wRVU productivity bonus)

An established healthcare system in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Orthopedic Surgeon to join its growing, physician-led group practice in Hobart, Indiana. Located in the Greater Chicagoland area, this role combines a busy surgical practice with high-tech hospital infrastructure and a HIMSS Stage VII environment, including full EPIC EHR integration with AI assisted documentation. The physician will work alongside a team of physicians and clinical support staff within a financially strong health system supporting long term surgical practice growth.

Schedule
Full time, permanent position based in Hobart, IN. Includes participation in a shared, equitable orthopedic call rotation.

Compensation
$580,000 to $680,000 per year. Base salary is negotiable and aligned with current MGMA benchmarks, paired with a wRVU productivity bonus structure. A negotiable sign on bonus is also available. Final compensation is based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do
This physician provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general orthopedic surgical care, including joint replacements, fracture care, arthroscopy, and musculoskeletal trauma management. Responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinic evaluations and performing elective and emergent surgical procedures, along with participation in a shared, equitable orthopedic call rotation.

The physician uses current surgical technologies and the EPIC EHR system with AI driven documentation tools, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team including primary care providers, physical therapists, pain management specialists, and hospitalists. The role also includes contributing to surgical quality protocols and delivering patient centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited US medical school or recognized international equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license, or eligible for Indiana state licensure within 90 to 120 days
  • Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
  • Strong clinical and surgical competency across general orthopedic care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma management procedures
  • Experience working within an EPIC EHR environment
  • Experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary orthopedic care team

Compensation and Benefits
