Outpatient Retail Pharmacist, Flexible Shifts

Location: Gratiot, OH
Job Type: Full-time and part-time openings
Schedule: Options include three 12-hour or four 10-hour shifts, 1 Saturday every 4 weeks
Pay: $54.85 to $75.00 per hour ($114,000 to $156,000 per year)

Must-Haves

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy
• Active Ohio Pharmacist license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding customer service and a high degree of confidentiality

What You'll Do

• Interpret prescriptions and dispense medications in line with federal, state, and local law
• Provide patient counseling and medication education
• Review therapy for drug interactions, duplications, allergies, and dosing
• Contact prescribers to clarify orders and resolve issues
• Prepare compounded prescriptions and IV medications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, manage workflow, and approve time off
• Support inventory and ordering to keep costs down and quality high
• Orient new staff, interns, and externs
• Serve as pharmacist in charge when the manager is out

Nice-to-Haves

• High-volume retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with automated dispensing technology

Compensation and Benefits

• $54.85 to $75.00 per hour based on experience
• Full benefits package
• Flexible shift options, including 10-hour or 12-hour schedules
• Limited weekends: 1 Saturday every 4 weeks and 1 Sunday every 12 weeks
• Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas, with about one holiday every year or two
• Parata Max robot handles about 45% of prescription volume
