Inpatient Acute Care Physical Therapist, Community Hospital

Location: Conroe, TX (about an hour from Houston)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50 to $65 per hour ($104,000 to $135,200 per year) plus $20,000 sign-on bonus

Must-Haves

• Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current Physical Therapist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire

What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver inpatient physical therapy programs that restore function and prevent disability
• Perform muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability assessments
• Lead patients through therapeutic exercise, gait training, and functional training
• Apply modalities including heat, water, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, and moist packs
• Train patients on wheelchairs, walkers, braces, crutches, and prosthetic and orthotic devices
• Develop and monitor home exercise programs that support long-term recovery
• Adapt treatment for patients with communication or cognitive limitations
• Document progress in SOAP format and share updates with the rehab team
• Train nursing and medical staff in physical therapy techniques

Nice-to-Haves

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy
• Cardiac rehab experience

Compensation and Benefits

• $50 to $65 per hour based on experience
