As a Roadway Project Engineer, your role will involve providing technical engineering information to project supervision and crafts to ensure that construction work meets all engineering standards, codes, and specifications. Our company specializes in the construction of large infrastructure projects, specifically in roadway and highway construction.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review the contract and specifications
• Offer assistance to the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, and Project Engineer as needed
• Contribute to schedule preparations and updates
• Assist with quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting
• Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including charge orders
• Requisition equipment and material deliveries as necessary
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve any project challenges and conflicts
• Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
• Manage document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, and project record drawings
• Review daily reports in Heavy Job for accuracy
• Prepare and maintain a technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule
• Ensure compliance with all required notices, such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements, utility locations and adjustments, testing, and claims
• Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors in the event of revised plans or specifications that affect products or services
• Assist in project closeout procedures
• Perform any additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering and Management (CEM)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Primavera 6
