Project Manager
Our esteemed client is seeking to hire a motivated Project Coordinator who will oversee and manage the entire project life cycle in support of business objectives and ongoing operations. The responsibilities of the project coordinator include project planning, estimating, execution, implementation, and ongoing support. Working closely with various business groups, this position ensures the smooth and effective development and delivery of projects to advance business goals.
This is a hybrid role offering remote work, but occasional travel to the Gonzales office in Louisiana will be required for meetings. Candidates residing in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or other nearby Gulf Coast areas will also be considered for this position.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (inclusive but not limited to)
- Collaborate closely with various business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of implemented system solutions in alignment with business objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, responsible for assembling, coordinating, and managing multidisciplinary project teams
- Oversee project planning, estimation, tracking, and management
- Resolve and troubleshoot a wide range of issues that arise during project management
- Provide expert technical and management guidance to department management and staff
- Communicate regular project updates, changes, and respond promptly to project-related inquiries
- Effectively manage project changes while adhering to the change control process
- Lead project review and pre-submittal meetings
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with boards, committees, and commissions as required
- Assist in the development of departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate schedules of staff and collaborating parties
- Collaborate closely with business functional areas, external customers, and vendors in defining project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, deliverable timelines, and funding
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team
- Manage technology and consulting vendor/partner relationships, ensuring service delivery and overall performance
- Meet deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Required:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working on complex project teams with proven success
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in project leadership, including leading meetings, providing status updates, and documenting/sharing meeting notes
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
