RADIATION ONCOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Radiation Oncology Technologist to join our team in Glenwood Springs, CO.

As a valuable member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for delivering ionizing radiation to patients as part of their cancer treatment.

Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology including Varian True Beam linear accelerator, Elekta Flexitron HDR after loader, superficial x-ray unit, and a departmental CT simulation with 4D capabilities. Our practice offers a wide range of treatment techniques and modalities, including VMAT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH, HDR brachytherapy, LDR brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical terminology, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety, and the psychosocial aspects of cancer.

Requirements:

• Completion of a radiation therapy training program and certification (R.T. (T)).

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in the field of radiation oncology is desired, but we welcome applicants at all levels of experience for this position.

Skills:

• Proficient in radiation safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and execute treatment plans according to protocols.
• Familiarity with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems, and electronic medical records.
• Experience in techniques such as Breath Hold, SRS, SBRT, Superficial, and HDR.
• Working knowledge of Mosaiq is highly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is also preferred.
