BSN Regional Dean
Overall Responsibilities:
The BSN Regional Dean provides leadership and oversight for multiple campuses, ensuring the effective development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program activities at both campus and regional levels. In collaboration with the Assistant Nursing Dean and Chief Academic Officer, this role supports comprehensive program planning, execution, and special initiatives to ensure excellence in nursing education.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, manage, update, and evaluate all aspects of the BSN program.

Prepare data and reports for state and Nursing Board requirements, including proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visit documentation.

Assist in identifying and securing external resources to enhance the BSN program.

Develop and enforce program policies and procedures.
-
Organize and participate actively in internal and external committees.
-
Oversee the student admission and orientation processes.
-
Serve as an effective liaison between the college and the community, building strong relationships.

Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical sites.
-
Perform comprehensive clinical site evaluations, ensuring they meet program objectives, student safety requirements, and adequate staffing levels.

Collect and maintain evaluations from students, clinical site representatives, and faculty at the conclusion of each clinical rotation, and provide summary reports to executive leadership.

Ensure clinical contracts are up-to-date and compliant.

Participate in faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation processes.

Lead and facilitate regular nursing faculty meetings, maintaining proper records and minutes.

Assign and schedule faculty for coursework and clinical rotations.

Monitor instructional quality and participate in faculty and program evaluations and strategic planning.

Provide advising and support to prospective students, assisting with academic and career planning.

Ensure students are properly oriented to nursing labs and clinical facilities before clinical rotations begin.

Engage in recruitment and admission efforts to attract qualified nursing students.
-
Confirm that students meet all documentation, graduation, and licensure examination requirements.

Participate in the planning and execution of Nursing Advisory Committee meetings at both the campus and regional levels.

Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain required continuing education (CE) hours.

Stay current on state regulations governing nursing practice.
-
Provide oversight and support to campus-level Program Directors across the region.
-
Conduct regular campus visits to ensure compliance with institutional policies, BVNPT regulations, and accreditation standards.

Support faculty development initiatives at both the campus and regional levels.
-
Assist campus Program Directors in preparation for accrediting and governing agency site visits.
-
Contribute to programmatic policy development and periodic reviews.
Education & Experience Requirements:
-
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
-
Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
-
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
-
At least 3 years of nursing experience, with:
-
At least 1 year in teaching or clinical supervision within an approved nursing or vocational/practical nursing program within the last 5 years, or
-
A minimum of 3 years in nursing administration or nursing education within the past 5 years.

Completion of formal coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an accredited institution.
